My typeface obsessed friend just introduced me to What The Font, a really useful feature on MyFonts.com that will identify an unknown font for you. All you have to do is upload an image of the font and MyFont will match it to similar typefaces in their database.
While I find the site really useful, I love how the iPhone application allows you to spontaneously explore and identify the fonts around you. It’s actually making me more inquisitive about typefaces in general and helping me build an arsenal of fonts to inspire my design projects.

“Verbalizing design is an act of design” - Kenya Hara, Designing Design
Despite the ample amount of reading assignments I receive from school, I’ve never read a book as passionately articulated as Kenya Hara’s Designing Design. The book consists of Hara’s philosophies on both life and design, which are backed by a collection of beautiful and inspiring designs. I will have to find some way to get this on the required reading list at school.

Spotted by design work life, here is some fun and elegant typography from The Brooklyn Parlor. The cursive reminds of an alphabet strip that was in my elementary school classroom in Belgium.
